Robert Chisholm shared Joel Harden's video.

TransCanada Pipelines Inc.'s action at this event was a disgrace. What they did amounted to attempting to enlist the help of the police in enforcing a form of corruption in business so that the company could cover up for lax safety standards and faulty workmanship, among other things. That was in late 2013. Since then (in March 2015), the Council of Canadians announced it is hiring Evan Vokes to assist them with their INTERVENTION in the National Energy Board's (N.E.B.) review of the Energy East project, specifically concerning "..the engineering design and integrity of the Project". This is one of the 16 subject areas included in the currently-ongoing N.E.B. review of the project. Please see also my webpage concerning TransCanada Pipelines Inc. record of allowing faulty workmanship and improperly-conducted onsite inspections during construction.

I myself only found out all about what was going on involving Evan Vokes and TransCanada Pipelines Inc. shortly after the event shown in this video. That, in turn, happened purely by chance after I posted a comment in response to Linden MacIntyre's online article titled "Why Whistleblowers are Crucial to Democracy" and included one of my main website URL's. Evan Vokes emailed a response to me; at that time I'd never even heard of him. Then purely out of curiosity as to who evan.vokes was and is, I ran a Google query. And that, for me, is "..when the bomb went off..." .

Kurtis Benedetti, the man talking to the police in this video, likely knew all about Evan Vokes long before I myself did. I know him personally, albeit not very well. The fact that I found out about this relatively late reflects very badly on Canada's mainstream media for not reporting widely what was going on. It points to a very mis-guided lack of support even for the professionalism that professional engineers are expected to demonstrate constantly in order carry out their legal mandate to protect the public. That in turn points to professional engineers in Canada having an unjustifiably low social status such that mis-guided, inappropriate and dangerous office politics - carried on by incompetent and politically-motivated members of management in large corporations - is allowed to over-rule considerations of public safety. It's a "black mark" for Canada and its mainstream media if they cannot and will not disseminate information like this more widely than actually occurred in this case. It should have been "front-page headlines" in ALL the newspapers, both online and print editions, and in ALL other mainstream news media. But of course we have another huge problem in Canada where - based on the corrupting influence of money, mis-guided social prejudices, irresponsible and stupid office politics, and lack of effective legal protection of "whistleblowers" who expose corporate wrongdoing - these people are effectively silenced and have their lives destroyed. All I can say with reference to the foregoing is that Canada as a community is rotten and behaves like a stupid office asshole in the name of protecting its big business pigs when they wish to behave corruptly and then cover it all up. Anybody wanting to argue with me over the last point had better produce some very convincing proof that Canada is a better place than I've just indicated.

Robert Chisholm As far as I can see, the only times that the situation involving Evan Vokes and TransCanada Pipelines Inc. has been reported in the mainstream Canadian media have been the following two CBC News reports:-

17-Oct-2012: "Whistleblower forced investigation of TransCanada Pipelines"
Reference: http://www.cbc.ca/.../whistleblower-forced-investigation...

and

25-Feb-2014: "TransCanada whistleblower's complaints validated by NEB"
Reference: http://www.cbc.ca/.../transcanada-whistleblower-s...

Apart from other things, even Evan Vokes' testimony before the Senate on June 6th 2013 wasn't reported at all in ANY of the mainstream Canadian media (not even the CBC).

So to explain why I wasn't aware of what was going on before this incident between Kurtis Benedetti and the police, I think I missed that CBC News report of October 17th 2012.

As a result of a recent Google search, I now have a database of almost 70 reports about the subject matter referred to; the three reports just referred to are among them.
