OG1-1. I had had about 30 interviews and two tentative job offers in spite of the economic situation, up to June 1983. These job offers were dependent on whether certain projects went ahead, which had been very uncertain for several months with no end to this situation in sight. To summarise, there was no alternative work available for which I was even remotely qualified.
