CORRESPONDENCE WITH FORMER P.M. –THE LATE HONOURABLE P.E. TRUDEAU – NARRATIVE

Things were getting totally out of hand.

I had discussed what was going on with people in the I.Mech. E. chapter in Montreal (the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Eastern Canada Branch). Mahesh Sharma and others advised me to seek a personal interview with the Prime Minister at the time, the Late Honourable P.E. Trudeau.

When I told my Canada Manpower counsellor at the time , Mme. Marie-France Lahaye, who my federal M.P. was – former Prime Minister P.E. Trudeau – she supported my approach.

I had also consulted with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec about it. I met their Director of Legal Affairs, Mr. Christian Dagenais, once; he in turn referred me to his assistant -  the Deputy Director of Legal Affairs, the late Rudolf Kloppenburg.

I met with Mr. Kloppenburg many times, further, he assisted me with the wording of the letter to Mr. Trudeau, even though I was not a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec at the time (I registered as a Junior Engineer a year or two later).

After waiting for almost 3 months without hearing anything, I wrote again (on March 12, 1984) stressing the urgency of the situation :-

In response to this, I had a letter from Senator Dalia Wood, Mr. Trudeau’ s – quote - Liaison Officer for Mount Royal – unquote -  dated April 27th 1984, along with another supposedly written on March 9th 1984 :-

As far as I am concerned, this was a total cop-out. The key phrase in this response is – quote -  …. before the courts …. – unquote – which in practice is nothing more than an underhand method for wasting time, playing little games designed to obfuscate and cause delays, and then cover it all up Tradition , in Montreal., Quebec at least – has it that the media refuse to ask questions or talk to someone in this position.

That’s CORRUPTION for you.
